Camminare su un filo di seta
Camminare su un filo di seta is like balancing on something fragile and uncertain, much like our own struggle today as we face a climate crisis that refuses to ease. Sudden storms, floods and increasingly frequent droughts are clear signs of the dramatic changes taking place on our planet. They remind us that we must change, as the climate will not adapt to our way of life.
This project investigates this delicate balance, which involves every aspect of our lives and relationship with the environment. It is a journey to understand what is happening and how our daily actions affect the world around us. This project promotes ecological awareness and practical sustainability skills for everyone to build a better future.
The aim is to raise awareness and provide practical tools to tackle environmental and social challenges, such as pollution, migration, the digital revolution, food production and inequality, which are causes and effects of the climate crisis.
Camminare su un filo di seta is an invitation to reflect and act to build a more sustainable future, starting with everyday choices.
Organisations involved
Promoted by Politecnico di Milano’s Cremona Campus, backed by the Municipality of Cremona, this project is supported by the Fondazione Città di Cremona in partnership with various associations, including Città Rurale, Filiera Corta Solidale, Nonsolonoi Altromercato, Slow Food Cremonese, Circolo Vedo Verde Legambiente Cremona, Cai Cremona and Milk - ETS.
The initiative is part of the Trama dei Diritti (“Weaving of Rights”) project, a cultural space promoted by CSV Lombardia Sud, open to those committed to disseminating a human rights-based culture.
Events for 2025
Now in its third year, Camminare su un filo di seta has been a great success with the public and critics. The events in early 2025 have indicated increased interest in the topics discussed. As a result, additional sessions are scheduled for autumn 2025 to provide further analysis, practical ideas, and recommendations related to inequality and pollution, to encourage effective actions that provide a positive daily contribution.
